ABOUT

CARAGH OPEN FARM

Caragh Open Farm is a family run Open Farm in Caragh, Naas, Co Kildare. The farm is spread over approx. 5 acres. It was once a working farm but we decided to diversify into the Open Farm as we noticed a gap in the market.

Since opening our doors in June 2011 we have grown from strength to strength increasing our animal numbers to nearly 30 different types. In July we opened our Café which can seat up to 30 people.

As well as the pet farm we offer a lovely scenic walk for the whole family to enjoy. Family outings are what make childhood memories so don’t forget the camera!

The most frequent compliment we receive is that we are warm, friendly and helpful and that the farm is not over commercialised.

We are mindful of costs especially for bigger families, so we encourage picnics.

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS ON OUR FARM AS WE HAVE MANY SMALL ANIMALS RUNNING AROUND THE FARM FREELY.

Always a great day out with the kids. Especially with good weather. Good value and very friendly staff. Great to support local businesses these days. We've had birthday parties here and were able to set up our own area. Kids are always worn out after, which is a good sign!

A great place with young kids. Not a huge variety of animals, but lots of fun, playgrounds, tiny horse riding, feeding the animals, nice coffee shop. We spent there 2,5 hours and the only reason we did not stay even more is that we run out of time and it was already closing time

Visited today with our 8 year old. We really enjoyed the day. Great selection of animals and things to do. Lots of recent birth additions which made it extra special. The staff were all fantastic allowing kids to hold the rabbits etc. Fairy trail and playground is a lovely addition. Dare I say….admission price is excellent value at €10pp…I wouldn’t have hesitated to pay slightly more as I really felt it was worth it.

We had a great day/afternoon on caragh open farm for a son’s 3rd birthday party despite the weather being off at the start- great sheltered area for a kids party. All of our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed it with all of the different things to do for the different age groups of children. A good variety of things and great value for money!! The children got to hold some chickens and rabbits and also have a little pony ride and get a little bucket of feed for the animals too all included in the price 😊 great value for money! The staff are so pleasant and helpful too. If you’re looking for a nice place to roam for a few hours and keep kids happy- open caragh farm is a place to visit, especially for a kids party. Thanks again Siobhán and Fearghal - a great day!
